Geraldine "Sugar" Freeze, age 78, passed away peacefully in her home on Thursday, November 28th, 2024, in Hartford,
Arkansas. She was born on May 8th, 1946, to the late Clovis Lancon and Nedia (Dutile) Lancon in New Iberia, Louisiana.
Sugar married the love of her life, Richard Freeze, on June 9th, 1962, and they spent 62 blissful years together in
marriage. She spent her working days as a meat wrapper, but Sugar's true passion and calling was her lifetime ministry
as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. She deeply valued her faith and was an industrious student of the Bible. Sugar also spent
her years as a dedicated homemaker, who took excellent care of her home and her family. In her free time, she loved to
cook delicious cajun dishes, host gatherings for her loved ones, and study the scriptures of God’s word. Sugar will be
remembered as a beautiful and sweet people-person, who had a fantastic sense of humor, as well as a beloved wife,
mother, and grandmother.
Sugar is survived by her loving husband, Richard Freeze; three sons; David and wife Trina of Lubbock, Texas; Mark and
wife Angela of Lockesburg, Arkansas; and Terry and wife Brooke of Alma, Arkansas; seven grandchildren, Scott and wife
Karah; Chance and wife Halie; Jabin and wife Maddy; Carter; Noah; Rylyn and her husband Larry Mojica; and Brayden. She
had one great granddaughter, Winter, along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Clovis and Nedia (Dutile) Lancon; and many cherished brothers and sisters.
